Semaglutide
What is Semaglutide and how does it work?
Semaglutide is an injectable medication that belongs to a class of drugs known as glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists, or GLP-1 RAs. It is used in weight loss because it mimics the GLP-1 hormone, released in the gut in response to eating and therefore promotes the feeling of fullness and satiety. Other roles of GLP-1 are to prompt the body to produce more insulin, which reduces blood sugar and to slow gastric emptying which reduces appetite. When used in conjunction with diet and exercise, it can cause significant weight loss — and a reduced risk of cancer, diabetes and heart disease — in people who are obese or overweight. —
Semaglutide is the generic form of “Wegovy” and “Ozempic” and we are not in competition with patients who are using the brand-name products for Diabetes. Please contact for more information.
